  West Kutai Barat in managing and developing the beluq lake destination,as well
  as to identify the obstacles faced by tourism office in managing and developing
  these tourist destinations. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative
  research.Sources of data were obtained from the head of the tourism attraction
  development section of the West Kutai Barat and officials from the village of
  Dempar.Data collection techniques were obtained through observation,
  interviews and documentation. Data analysis techinques are data collection, data
  simplification, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The resluts of the study
  indicate that in managing and developing this Beluq Lake tourist destination, the
  tourist office is still not optimal in carrying out policies due to the lack of experts
  in the filed of management and development and the lack of budget.
