• 4. Description [Abstrak] : This study aims to explain the reasons for Indonesia opening diplomatic relations with Chad. The research method used in preparing this thesis is explanatory with secondary data types. The analysis technique used is qualitative content analysis. The theory used is the Concept of National Interest and Diplomatic Representation. Both of these theories are used to answer the research raised by the author. The results of this study are of interest in Indonesia, namely trade and investment issues.The data shows that in this agreement, the urgency to immediately open diplomatic relations experiences constraints, so taking into account the factors and conditions of existing relations makes Indonesia truly deemed sufficient if it only opens consular relations.
