• 4. Description [Abstrak] : This study aims to determine the influence of the work environment and competence on teacher performance at the Hidayatullah Education Institute in Samarinda city. This study uses a quantitative approach. The sample of this study was 60 people taken from each TK, SD, MTs, and MA units using the Saturated Sampling technique. Data collection methods used are the scale of the work environment, and the competencies and instruments for evaluating teacher performance from the Ministry of National Education. The collected data were analyzed using the Analysis of Variance test with the help of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program 25.0 for windows. The results of the study with a 95% confidence level show that; (1) there is no influence between the work environment on teacher performance, through the Kruskall Wallis difference test the result is sig 0.211 (p> 0.050). (2) There is no influence between competence on teacher performance, through the Kruskall Wallis test, the result is sig 0.535 (p> 0.050).
