• 4. Description [Abstrak] : This study aims to know whether there is influence between parenting and emotional stability toward the independence of outsider students. This study is quantitative study. The method of collecting the data is using Likert Scale, which consist of independence scale, parenting scale, and emotional stability scale. The sample of this study is 43 outsider students. The data analysis technic is using multiple regression analysis. The result of this study indicates that there is influence between parenting and emotional stability toward the independence of outsider students, with value of R = 0.421, f-calculate = 14.533 > f-table = 3.23 and p = 0.000. The addition from the result of regression analysis stages model knows that there is an influence of parenting and independence of outsider students, with the value of Beta = 0.341, t-calculated = 2.635 > t-table = 2.020 and p = 0.002. Then, There is an influence of emotional stability toward the independece of outsider students with value of Beta = 3.390 > t-table = 2.020, and p = 0.002.
