  • 4. Description [Abstrak] : The purpose of this study is to see how the family support forms to caregivers as an effort to prevent recurrence in paranoid schizophrenia patients. The researcher used qualitative research with a case study approach. The researcher used the snowball sampling technique and the method of data collection used in-depth interviews and observations. The results of the study can be seen that the most dominant form of family support is the emotional form and form of information. The first subject, Ms. Dara showed an emotional form by giving care and attention to his child, such as accompanying her child and listening to the story. The second subject, Ms. Ratih shows an emotional form by always advising her child and giving input to her child. And the third subject is Ms. Ami, although she rarely shows concern for his brother, but Ms. Ami always tries to convince his brother that she is always there for his brother. The three subjects also received forms of information support from their respective husbands who were considered more objective in drawing conclusions in making decisions in caring for patients. Then some aspects that support forms of family support from the results of the analysis are aspects of control and monitoring, aspects of direct involvement, communication aspects, aspects of closeness, and aspects of discipline.
