• 4. Description [Abstrak] : In the marriage relationship, domestic violence can occur especially done by a husband to his wife. Women who have experienced violence can rise, change more positively and experience posttraumatic growth. The purpose of this study was to see how the posttraumatic growth depiction of domestic violence victims in the household and factors which influence the posttraumatic growth. The researcher used qualitative research with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were four women victims of domestic violence who were identified as posttraumatic growth. The data collection method used techniques of observation, structured interviews and related documentation data. Data analysis techniques in this study were data reduction, data display and verification (conclusion drawing). The results obtained showed a depiction of posttraumatic growth in victims of domestic violence where the four subjects were early adult women who showed positive changes in life and able to develop themselves compared to the previous as a result of the struggle for violent experiences and had successfully passed the traumatic event. Struggles and changes are characterized by an appreciation of life, connections with others, personal strength, spiritual changes and new possibilities that are reflected in each subject’s self. Factors that influence all the distress factors (difficulties experienced), social support, emotional disclosure, personality characteristics, coping strategies (problem solving), environmental characteristics, rumination styles, assumptive world, spirituality and optimism that help the resurrection of subjects to find a better life afterwards.
