  • 4. Description [Abstrak] : This research aims to find out how the description of anxiety and the form of coping strategies for women victims of dating violence in samarinda. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. The respondents of this research was take by purposive sampling with data collection methods using observation and in-depth interviews with all four subjects. The result showed that the four subjects in this research experienced violence in physical, psychological, sexual and economic forms. Violence experienced by women can have various effects, one of them is anxiety. Although showing anxiety and coping strategies that are different from each other, the four subjects used two forms of coping strategies namely problem focused coping and emotion focused coping. SF subjects have anxiety in the high category and chose to survive in their relationship. FP subjects experience anxiety in the medium category and chose to end the relationship. Whereas AF and DD subjects both have anxiety in high category and chose to end their relationship. Although the subject still feel anxious, but the use of these two coping strategies can at least reduce the subject’s sense of stress and help the subject to interact.
