- 4. Description [Abstrak] : This study aims to find and describe the efforts undertaken by Indonesia in handling cases of refugeess ethnic Rohingya in Aceh Province. The type of research used is descriptive explanative, which the authors explain or describe how Indonesia’s efforts in dealing with cases of the Rohingya refugees in Aceh Province. The data presented are secondary obtained directly from the study of literatures, books, journals, internet, and related sources. Data analysis technique is qualitative. The results show that Indonesia’s efforts in handling cases of Rohingya refugeess in Aceh Province consist of internal and external efforts. Internal efforts are by conducting search and rescue operations of ethnic Rohingya that oscillate in the ocean, bring them to beach to get help, providing shelter, providing health facilities and providing logistical support. In addition external effort is to build cooperation with countries related to the same problems which are Malaysia and Thailand. Moreover Indonesia is engaging cooperation with refugees organization.
