  • 4. Description [Abstrak] : The dominated Accor Group’s hotel network has influence the existences of Grahawita Santika as domestic hotel operator. So, the research aims to explain the strategy of domestic hotel operator Grahawita Santika in trade competition with foreign operator hotel Accor Grop. The research is descriptive qualitative with the type of premier data and secondary data. Theory or concept used in this research are tourism concept and competitive advantage theory. The result of study show in 2006 Grahawita Santika used rebranding strategy to face trade competition with Accor Group. Rebranding is a buiness market strategy which make renewal on the name or brand for the product. However by this strategy Grahawita Santika unable to surpass the dominate of Accor Group. Although rebranding strategy make Grahawita Santika able to expand their hotel chain, even defend their existences and become one of the biggest Indonesia’s hotels operator.
