Description [Abstrak] : This study aimed to determine the relations between self regulated learning and goal orientation with academic stress on students at Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 3 Unggulan Tenggarong. This research used quantitative method. The sample in this study include 162 students. Data collection method used academic stress scale, self regulated learning scale and goal orientation scale, with Likert scale model. The collected data were analysed by Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 19. The result indicate that there is a relationship between self regulated elarning and goal orientation with academic stress on students at Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 3 Unggulan Tenggarong with R = 0.397, Ftest = 14.856 (Ftest>Ftable = 2.995), R2 = 0.157, and p = 0.000 (p ttable = 1.975) and p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). Then, a simple regression test results between goal orientation academic stress showed that there is no correlation with beta = -0.015;ttest = -0.185 (ttest 0.05).
