Description [Abstrak] : This study aims to determine the relationship of students’ perceptions about the professional competence of teachers and parental support with learning motivation students of SMP Negeri 7 Samarinda. This research uses quantitative research method. The subject of this research is the students of SMP Negeri 7 Samarinda with a total sample of 91 students. Data collection methods used are the scale of learning motivation, student perceptions of teacher professional competence and parental support. The collected data were analyzed by multiple regression test and simple regression analysis with Statistical Package for Special Sciences (SPSS) 20.0 for Windows program.
