Description [Abstrak] : The objective of this research was to find out how the relationship between Need For Cognition with the behavior of prosocial students in Psychology Study Program Mulawarman University Samarinda. Population in this research is all student in Psychology Study Program Mulawarman University Samarinda. Samples in this study was 88 people. The sample that used in this research has summed by Random Sampling technique. The data were analyzed by using Likert scale model. The scales is prosocial behavior scale and need for cognition scale. The data analyzed by using product moment correlation test and aided by an Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 20.0 for Windows program. This study indicate that there is a relationship between prosocial behavior with need for cognition and the result is 0.751 with p = 0,000. The result means there is a strong correlation and very significant between need for cognition with prosocial behavior on the students of Psychology Program of Mulawarman University.
