This study aims to examine the effect of consumer perceptions and consumer motivation on purchasing decision insurance policy at Prudential Insurance Client in Samarinda City. The subject of this research is Prudential Insurance Client in Samarinda City with total sample of 100 people. The measuring tool used in this study used the scale of purchasing decisions, the scale of consumer perceptions, and the scale of consumer motivation. The data analysis technique using multiple regression test. The result of this research shows that there is positive and significant influence between consumer perception and consumer’s motivation to purchasing decision of insurance policy that is with value F = 32.525, R2 = 0401, and p = 0.000. On the consumer perception of positive and significant influence on the purchase decision of insurance policy that is with the value of beta = 0.562, t = 6.987, and p = 0.000. On the motivation of consumers to the positive and significant influence on the purchase decision of insurance policy that is with the value of beta = 0.195, t = 2.428, and p = 0.017.
