  • 4. Description [Abstrak] : Poverty in Myanmar is a major factor in the development of opium cultivation. In addition to poverty, the number of debts and limited access to markets has resulted in conventional farming unable to meet the needs of money in Myanmar. The purpose of this research is to know the United Nation Office On Drugs Crime (UNODC) efforts in reppressed opium production in golden triangle region in Myanmar in 2011-2014. This research used descriptive analytic, the author used the concept of international regimes and trans organized crime to analyze this research. Data analysis technique used library research. UNODC’s efforts to reppressed opium production in Myanmar by conducting the Global SMART Program, UNODC illicit monitoring program (ICMP), alternative development for opium farmers in Myanmar, assistance from the World Food Program (WFP), and prevention and care of HIV / AIDS for opium addicts.
