Description [Abstrak] : This study aims to discuss and analyze the effect of conformity and the dignity of compulsive buying behavior on the students (student studies in the faculty of social sciences and political science, Mulawarman University). This study is a quantitative research, population in this research is all student of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Science, Mulawarman University. Which have a tendency to compulsive buying behavior, samples taken as many as 100 people by using purposive sampling, measuring instrument used was a questionnaire, and the data were analyzed with regression models and gradually filled with the help of program Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 22.0 for Windows.
    The results of the first analysis showed that there is an effect of conformity against compulsive buying behavior, value obtained beta = 0.282, t = 2.387 and p = 0.019 (p < 0.050). The result of the second analysis showed that there is an effect of self-esteem against compulsive buying behavior, value obtained beta = 0.223, t = 1.885, and p = 0.007 (p < 0.050). And the result of the third analysis showed that there is an effect of conformity and self-esteem against compulsive buying behavior about 60%, with value obtained F = 3.078, R2 = 0.060, dan p = 0.051 (p < 0.050).
