When this dispute still not reaching the end point United States try to help but not interfere too much. This research used descriptive case study where the authors will describe the foreign policy on Barrack Obama’s Government. The data analysis technique used is the qualitative describe a situation or event that occured. The result show that in 2010 government of United States took action in ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) about China’s assertive action has been done harm many parties. Even in the United States itself, but still United States want to the claimants resolve the dispute with hard and soft power & diplomatic ways. Based on the result that there is United States economic and defense interest and China economic and military power which affect to the perception of United States toward China shaped United foreign policy toward South China Sea dispute.
