• 4. Description [Abstrak] : The study research has a purpose to describe Scotland’s effort to separated from Great Britain in between 2012-2014. The type of the study research is descriptive research, which purposed to find out how was the Scotland’s efforts to get independence for themself goes. Also, this study research wants to describe it. The final research showed that Scotland, based on their own culture, banking system, laws, and an education system who was apart from the UK, finally proclaimed themself had been separated from the United Kingdom and standing as a sovereign nation like the was in 1707. Lots of kind of independence movements, start from those who want to set the transition of independence plan with the gradual transfer of power, up to the direct access as a sovereign states. Though, based on result of the referendum, the number of citizen who did not voted for the Scotland’s independence were larger than the pro independence citizens. According to the result, Scotland came back to be a part of the Great britain. As a result of the referendum, the Scotland minister, Alex Salmon, has been resigned and accepted the defeat. But Great Britain’s government kept promised that it will be more attention to the people of Scotland and provide greater devolution to Scotland in terms of politics and government and promised a greater economic autonomy
