Description [Abstrak] : Every woman including the elderly would still want happiness in life she lived even without a husband and despite living in a place separate from the family such as homes, but the problems of the past as has been abandoned by her husband and did not have children in kehidupanya often can not be solved and causing loneliness that impact on the condition of depression. Loneliness can lead to depression conditions such as loss of appetite, insomnia, sad, moody, sensitive and a decline in the level of activity. These problems can cause depression gradually higher level, namely severe depression category level, without emotional and social support from people nearby such as caregivers and nurses as well as from the home and a close friend, the elderly woman would be difficult to pass this problem to overcome it. This study aims to determine the factors that cause the occurrence of loneliness in elderly women. This research is a descriptive qualitative research explains the phenomenon of what is being experienced by the subject. Subjects of this study consisted of two research subjects. Methods of data collection using in-depth interview technique, observation and using the test the beck depression inventory (BDI) to measure the level of depression of the subject.
