• 4. Description [Abstrak] : One of the complex problem of adolescent development task is to take a decision career. This quantitative research main purpose is to describe, analyze and determine the influence of the reference group and self efficacy to the decision in selecting medical major.
  The study was conducted on 80 students of class XII Science in SMA N 1 Samarinda which is decided to choose medical major as further study. Data collected by using a scale with sampling jenuh method. Data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis.
  The results showed there is a significant influence between the reference group and self efficacy to the decision making with F = 38 013, R2 = 0497, and p = 0.000. The test results showed a gradual positive and significant correlation between the reference group against the decision with beta = 0.198, t = 2,426, and p = 0.018. While the self efficacy against beta = 0648, t = 0648 and p = 0.000.
