• 4. Description [Abstrak] : The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the UN in conflict resolution between Morocco and Western Sahara after the failure of Manhasset Agreement for 2007-2009.

  This study used a descriptive analytic type is to describe the role of the UN in conflict resolution between Morocco and Western Sahara. Types and sources of data in this study are secondary data through indirect studies. Data collection techniques in this study is through indirect studies by literature review of the literature such as books, journals. Articles, magazines, and others. Engineering analysis of data from this study is the analysis of qualitative data.

  This study shows that the UN seek to resolve the conflict between Morocco and the Western Sahara to hold peace talks in 2009, but the negotiations failed because both parties to the conflict remain concerned with the options of each country the recent UN is working on a new framework agreement for resolve the conflict, also sent peacekeepers to the area called MINURSO conflict while continuing to extend the mandate of MINURSO until April 2014 and will continue to be extended until the conflict ended.
