• 4. Description [Abstrak] : This research aims to find out the reasons why Indonesia stopped exporting nickel to China. This research was designed to explain what factors were the reasons why Indonesia implemented a policy of stopping nickel ore exports to China. This research is explanatory qualitative writing using library research data collection techniques, namely collecting the necessary data and information through books, journals, articles and the internet. The type of data used is secondary data with qualitative data analysis techniques that construct and analyze data to obtain research results.The results of this research are that the reasons for the policy to stop Indonesian nickel exports to China are in the form of protection and bargaining in order to secure nickel ore raw materials and encourage the productivity of state-owned companies in order to improve Indonesia’s relative position in the global market, which so far has not been running optimally. As well as maximizing nickel processing and attracting investment to support Indonesia as a production center for batteries and electric vehicles so that Indonesian nickel has added value
