Description [Abstrak] : The Transmigration & Immigration Ban policy was issued by President Trump to prevent the entry of terrorism from foreign countries, but the controversial policy was removed by President Biden, this article aims to explain the background of the abolition of the Transmigration & Immigration Ban policy by the United States Government under the leadership of President Biden against refugees from 7 Muslim-majority countries. This article uses an explanatory research type, uses secondary data with qualitative analysis techniques, and the theory used is the theory of decision making. The result of this study shows that the abolition of the policy by President Joe Biden was based on two factors, namely internal and external. For the first internal factor President Joe Biden abolishing this policy is contrary to democratic life in the US. the second is to protect US national security. third is President Biden’s campaign promise and fourth is the negative impact of the policy on the US economy. Then for the first external factor, namely the negative view of foreign countries towards the US. the second is to secure US national interests in the Middle East region.
