Description [Abstrak] : This study aims to provide an analysis and discussion of the efforts made by the Indonesian government in improving education according to the target of the Sustainable Development Goals. To analyze the problems in this research, the author uses a descriptive type of research, namely by describing the efforts made by Indonesia to achieve the target of the 4th SDGs. The analytical technique used is qualitative. The theory/concept used is the concept of public policy and the concept of education quality. The results of this study indicate that there are four program efforts carried out by the government as an effort to improve the quality of education according to the SDGs targets in the education sector in Indonesia, including policy efforts in the field of law, policy efforts to improve access to education, policy efforts for teaching and learning quality, and skills, vocational, and work ability policy efforts
