Description [Abstrak] : Indonesian has a problem in carrying out good forest management, this results in forest area that continues to experience deforestation or loss of forests due to the many land clearing illegally. This problem must be solved in various ways, one of which is working with the community to safeguard the forest of illegal land clearing. This effort is known as the Community Based Forest Management, but Indonesia’s efforts were unsuccessful. So Indonesia cooperates with the Asian Forest Cooperation Organizations to improve forest management in Indonesia through the program “Facilitating The Participatory Planning of Community Based Forest Management Using Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) Technologies in Forest Resources Management in the Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand” which is a program regarding forest guarding with the help of the community through increasing community welfare with non-timber forest products. The program was then carried out in Lampung Province with the unity of the Tegi Stone Forest Management Unit and which implemented the program was the Cempaka Farmer Group.
