The data was sources by primary and secondary data. Technique data collection in research by use observation, documentation, and interview. The result of this research indicate that the role of Pokdarwis in increasing tourism in local resident economic Kampoeng memories is the role of a companion as a motivator, communicator, facilitators. Inhibiting factors is not all community and moved to participate actively, lack of human reseources professional, lack of attention from the youth sports and tourism office at Balikpapan city and the limited in the funds. Supporting factors include Pokdarwis enthusiasm and support from figures that is mutually copperate. The growing Pokdarwis suggestions for what was achieved and motivate ourselves and the citizents to change by optimal inhibiting and supporters from a variety of factors related to resident economy improvement to the environment tourism Kampoeng memories in Balikpapan.
