- 4. Description [Abstrak] : This study aimed to examine the regression of future orientation and parental support towards decision making in choosing a college study program for students. The subjects of this study were students of XI grade of the SMA Negeri 16 Samarinda with a total sample of 126 people. This research employed quantitative research method, the measuring instruments used in this study were the scale of decision making, future orientation scale, and parental support scale. The three scales were arranged in a likert model and for the multiple regression analysis, the assistance of SPSS (Statistical Packages for Social Science) computer program version 24.0 for Windows was used. The results of this study indicated that there was a significant influence between future orientation and parental support towards decision making of the students of SMA Negeri 16 Samarinda, with values obtained F count > F table (21005 > 3.07), adjusted R square = 0.255, and p = 0,000 t table = 1.979 and p = 0.000. Meanwhile, on parental support towards decision making there was a positive and significant influence with beta values = 2.624; t count = 0.246 > t table = 1.979 and p = 0.011.
