  • 4. Description [Abstrak] : This study aims to determine whether there is effectiveness in the storytelling method to improve the early literacy skills of preschoolers. The research method used in this study is an experiment with a quantitative approach. The sample of this study was 30 students of TK ABA 1 Samarinda. This study uses one grub pre-test post-test design. The statistical analysis technique used was paired simple T-Test. The results showed that the storytelling treatment was effective in improving the early literacy skills of children, it was based on using the Sample Paired T-Test with the rules of p value ( t table. At the researchers, obtained results p = 0,000 and t = 13,862 with the results H1 accepted. According to the teacher the results obtained are p = 0,000 and t = 10,614 so the hypothesis H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. As well as according to parents, the results of p = 0.000 and t = 7.809 with H1 results accepted means that there is effectiveness in the storytelling method to improve early literacy skills.
