• 4. Description [Abstrak] : This study aimed to determine the influence of parenting style and selfcontrol toward aggressive behavior at adolescence’s in Junior High School 27 Samarinda. This research used quantitative approach, which the population for this research is 228 students in clas VIII Junior High School. Besides, 90 of them are selected as sample for this research by using purposive sampling. Methods of data collection using the scale of aggressive behavior, parenting style, and selfcontrol with Likert scale model. The collected data were analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis with Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 20.0 for windows. According to 95% of accurateness level, result for this research indicate that: (1) there is no influence of parenting style toward aggressive behavior with beta coefficient (β) = 0.070, and t value < t table (0.684 < 1.987), and p value = 0.496 (p t table (3.166 > 1.987), and p value = 0.002 (p f table = 3.10, and p value = 0.004 (p < 0.050). The influencing contribution (R2) of parenting style and self-control toward aggressive behavior is 0.120 or 12 percents.
