  • 4. Description [Abstrak] : Global Passport Power Rank is a term for ranking the strength of passports owned by each country. The assessment indicator is then carried out by looking at whether a country requires a visa, namely a document permitting someone to enter a country that is obtained at the embassy. When Brexit officially takes effect on 01 January 2021, the UK will no longer be part of the free market member of the EU. This had consequences for the free movement of people and labor from England. As it has been explained about how the strength of a passport can be calculated using the free visa received by a country, the formation of the Brexit policy certainly means that the UK no longer has the right to free movement. This research is descriptive qualitative writing using library research data collection techniques, namely collecting the necessary data and information through books, journals, articles and the internet. The type of data used is secondary data with qualitative data analysis techniques that construct and analyze data to obtain research results. Through the concept of migration by Lee, it is known that the results of this study show that Brexit has had a decreasing and increasing impact on the British passport ranking in the period 2016-2023. From this there are changes in the volume, development and changing flow of British migration. Where before Brexit, migration was dominated by European Union citizens, but after Brexit it was dominated by non-EU citizens. The impact of the reduction in passports does not only come from Brexit, but there are several other additional factors such as the Covid 19 pandemic, the death of Queen Elizabeth, and the change of British prime minister.
