Description [Abstrak] : This study aims to explain the reasons for the change in China’s attitude in the process of accepting new members India as a fully membership, in an organization formed by China and Russia, namely the Shanghai Coopertaion Organization. The research method uses this type of explanative research with data sources obtained from books, newspapers, magazines, journals, and official websites which are downloaded from several competent sites on the internet as well as other documents relevant to the problems studied. In this study the authors used the concept of National Interests and International Organizations.The results of this study indicate that the reason for the change in China’s attitude in the process of accepting new members in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in this case India is due to the interests that China wants to achieve in its relationship with India through SCO, including interests related to the security of its country because there is still a conflict that continues on the border between his country and India which can lead to instability of the bilateral relationship between the two as well as protection of security from separatist groups. Apart from that, other interests are economic interests related to China’s One Belt One Road project which wants to be expanded by joining India where SCO will help China as a platform to build India’s trust in the project<\/strong><\/li>\n
