4. Description [Abstrak] : The purpose of this research is to explain how SOS Children’s\u2019s Villages Efforts to Help Children of the Yogyakarta Earthquake in 2006. The research method uses descriptive research type with data sources obtained from the results of books, journal websites, and valid news. In this study the authors used the concepts of International Organizations and Natural Disaster Management. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the Role of SOS Children’s Villages as an international humanitarian organization, positively contributed to the handling of earthquake victims in Yogyakarta in 2006. Where the organization gives its concern to earthquake victims in Yogyakarta in an effort to deal with earthquake victims, especially children, due to the earthquake went through the stage of Natural Disaster Management. The aim is to provide universal emergency assistance and voluntary services to victims of the 2006 earthquake. The role that SOS Children’s Children’s Villages has done through the NDM stages such as: food aid, health and medical services. In addition, making children affected by disasters still get their rights and escape from the trauma of disaster through the establishment of children’s playgrounds that facilitate all children’s activities including education, play, and trauma healing<\/strong><\/li>\n
