The study analyzes the uncertainty in the livelihood of local people as a dominant factor that drives their actions. Uncertainty elicit response, and the way people respond brings about consequences. These consequences are analyzed and their implication for policy are discussed. The focus is on how people adjust ti new situations and the implications of these adjustment on the forest itself.<\/li>\n
