Description [Abstrak] : : the implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All forms Discrimination Against Woman (CEDAW) carried out by the Pakistani government in overcoming the problem of discrimination against Pakistani women, especially in the culture of watta satta, where a woman is forced to marry in order to solve the problem. After the Pakistani government implements the CEDAW convention into Pakistani law, the Pakistani government often reviews amendments and laws that regulate problems of forced marriage or watta satta, and the Pakistani government also increases fines and sentence periods given to perpetrators, in addition to various efforts that have been made by the Pakistani government in promoting women’s rights prior to ratification such as the announcement of the National Plan of Action For the Advancement of Women, Crisis Centers for Women in Distress<\/strong><\/li>\n
