Description [Abstrak] : The global financial crisis in 2009 originated from the housing credit crisis, or what is commonly referred to as the Subprime Mortgage Crisis in the United States, which has an impact on overall global economic conditions in the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific. This caused a financial crisis in 2008 and the Great Recession, better known as The Great Recession. This happened because of three factors, namely direct investment, indirect investment, and trade. The global financial crisis indicates that the economies of countries in the world are increasingly open and integrated with one another, as a consequence of an open economy. The purpose of this study is to identify and describe the efforts of the Australian government in dealing with the impact of Subprime Mortgages in 2009. The research method uses descriptive research type with data sources obtained from interviews, books, website journals, and valid news. In this study the authors used the the concept of macroeconomic policy and the concept of regionalism. The results showed that the efforts of the Australian government consisted based on some macroeconomic policies. There are several policies such as interest rate reduction, and fiscal stimulus policies. Australia also established bilateral and regional cooperation with the Asian region.<\/strong><\/li>\n
