4. Description [Abstrak] : This article explains the reaction of the Indonesian government after the emergence of Panama Papers in 2016. The method which used in this research is descriptive, with data sources from mainly come from book, journal, website and some other trusted sources. In this research, author uses tax amnesty and tax as the concepts. The result of this study shows that the reaction of the Indonesian government after the emergence of panama papers was call for the involvement of other countries to participate and be active in Automatic Exchange of Information (AEoI). This cooperation allows the involved countries to exchange the financial information annually in year and the tax authorities in each country able to track the existence of the citizens who hide their assets abroad and the citizens who commit to tax evasion. Furthermore, the Indonesian government also implemented a tax amnesty policy to give an amnesty to the citizens who named in the list of panama papers which is indicated to tax evasion. The policy can also improve the Indonesia economic growth and expand the base of taxation in Indonesia.\n
