Description [Abstrak] : Opium production has been very troubling for some countries because it is feared that drug users will increase, especially in Afghanistan the production is controlled by terrorist groups whose results are used to strengthen the group. This research was aimed to know and describe the efforts of the Afghanistan government in reducing opium production. It\u2019s a descriptive research using the data is secondary data derived from various books, journals, reports, online articles. The theory used in this study is Pubilc Policy by William N.Dunn. The results showed that the efforts made by the Afghan government were to adopt the U.S counternatics strategy in which there were 5 pillars and 3 pillars added by the Afghanistan government adjusted to the conditions of the country<\/strong><\/li>\n
