The purpose of the aid is to promote development in developed<br \/>\ncountry. Turkey use ODA to give aid to Somalia since 1985, but the most significant<br \/>\nincrease are from 2011 to 2015. Somalia is a poor country filled with internal<br \/>\nconflicts,Terrorist group, and famine disaster,also Somalia is not in direct border<br \/>\nwith Turkey unlike Syria, making Somalia less relevant to aid with, but Turkey<br \/>\nincrease the aid anyway. The purpose of this research is to explain the reasons<br \/>\nbehind Turkey\u2019s increasing aid to Somalia from 2011 to 2015. The type of this<br \/>\nresearch is explanative, the research is researched using foreign aid theory. The<br \/>\nresults show that Turkey has several motives to aid Somalia using ODA, that is<br \/>\nEconomic, Politic and security. But the research only focus on two motives that is<br \/>\neconomic and security motives. Turkey use the aid to expand its economic influence<br \/>\nand power with export and import to Somalia, and securing the trade route from<br \/>\nTurkey to Africa through Somalia. Also Turkey use the aid to strenghthen its influence<br \/>\nin Somalia to build a brand new military facility in Somalia, to boost Turkey military<br \/>\npower and secure Somalia sea territory from Somalian pirate<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>  5.
