4. Description [Abstrak]:<\/strong> Issues shifting in international relations have resulted in the shifting of approaches in international relations and affairs. The approaches which being explained in this article are realism and idealism\/utopianism. During the twentieth century, there were drastic issues shifting which makes the relevance of realism and idealism were in questions. In the beginning to the middle of twentieth century, the most popular issue was power politics, the matter of peace and war. During the three wars \u2013 World War I, World War II, and Cold War \u2013 realism achieved its triumph, breaking down the idealism and its utopian asumptions. But, in the second half of the century, the issue have shifted toward peace and cooperation ones marked by the collapse of the Soviet Union and the rise of regionalism in the world. It regenerated idealism offers though realism did not lose its power either. It simply shows that issues shifting generates the approach relevance shifting in international relations. The thriumph of one approach doesn\u2019t means diminishing or shinking the importance of certain approach, since international relations issues vary in nature so these could be viewed by various approach or viewed by related approach based on the nature.<\/li>\n
