4. Description [Abstrak] : his research aims to find out how the description of motivation of public display affection (PDA) behaviour in social media in adolescents in Samarinda. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. The respondents of this research was taken by purposive sampling with data collection methods using observation and in-depth interviews with all six subjects. The result showed that the three subjects was an active social media users and shared the PDA behaviour on their social media accounts. The six subjects has similar motivation, there is the desire to get the attention of many people, personal satisfaction feel after uploading the content, and want to show all the activities they do on social media. In subject KSM has a different motivation because of possessive tendencies possessed by her partner. Subject NY has a motivation to earn money from the PDA behaviour that she does. Factors that influence the subjects are the support of each partner, response to their upload, all facilities owned and the circumstances of the subject\u2019s family.<\/strong><\/li>\n
