Melihat fenomena tersebut, maka penulis mencoba untuk melihat hubungan atau pengaruh Ketegangan Kerja sebagai salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi Kinerja Pegawai. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kantor Badan Pendapatan Daerah Kabupaten Kutai Timur dengan sampel yang berjumlah 111 orang menggunakan metode sampling jenuh. Selanjutnya, data penelitian diperoleh dengan cara observasi, penyebaran kuesioner, dokumentasi dan penelitian kepustakaan. Kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan korelasi pearson product moment, analisis regresi linear sederhana, kecermatan prediksi dan analisis koefisien penentu atau koefisien determinasi. Setelah digunakan rangkaian uji statistik, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Ketegangan Kerja memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja Pegawai di Kantor Badan Pendapatan Daerah Kabupaten Kutai Timur yaitu sebesar 35,6% yang berarti bahwa sisanya 64,4% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>  5.
