Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif Kuantitatif-kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner, wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menujukan bahwa dalam  indeks kepuasan masyarakat dalam pelayanan public di kantor kecamatan kongbeng kabupaten kutai timur tergolong Baik dalam memberikan prosedur pelayanan, persyaratan pelayanan, kejelasan pelayanan, kedisiplinan petugas pelayanan, tanggung jawab petugas pelayanan, kemampuan petugas pelayanan, kecepatan pelayanan, keadilan dalam mendapatkan pelayanan, kesopanan dan keramahan pelayanan, kewajaran biaya pelayanan, kepastian biaya pelayanan, kepastian jadwal pelayanan, kenyamanan lingkungan dan keamanan pelayanan.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>  5.
