4. Description [Abstrak] : This research aims to identify and describe about the role of UNESCO on conservation site of Palmyra at Syria in years 2016 to 2018. The Author conducted research by using descriptive method with secondary data which obtained by library research as data collection technique with sources comes through the books, scientific journals, and internet sources. Those data have been obtained then elaborated through qualitative data analysis techniques with the use of the role of international organization theory and conservastion concept. The results of this research described the role of UNESCO on conservation site of Palmyra at Syria is an aspect of functionality that must be carried out in accordance with its operational functions, thus involving international collaboration between members and various institutions, then carrying out various forms of international communication and information such as conducting an international campaign to save Palmyra site. The role of UNESCO carried out with technical program in the form of conservation of the Palmyra site which began since 27 April 2016. The conservation program applied to the site of Palmyra is carried out in six forms of conservation consisting of preservation, replication, reconstruction, restoration, revitalitation, and rehabilation.<\/strong><\/li>\n
