4. Description [Abstrak] : This study aims to discover the love and marital satisfaction with the first wife of polygamy. This research uses qualitative method with phenomenology approach. Subjects in this study were four people who were selected based techniques purposivitas with the characteristics of the subject, the woman who was the first wife of a polygamous husband. The data in this study were collected through participant observation and in-depth interviews. The study showed different result of love and marital satisfaction of the four subjects depend on their experiences of loving relationship and marriage life. The first subject has empty love except commitment with husband. Husband\u2019s responbilities, financial management, and support from family and friends make her satisfied with her marriage life. The second subject has fatuous love with less intimacy in her relationship with husband because of lack of communication, the subject barely can\u2019t express her feeling to husband but just accept what the husband has done to her. The third subject has companionate love with husband, they always keep in touch and taking care each other. Good communication with husband, children, and religions orientation make her satisfied with her marriage life. The fourth subject has empty love except commitment to the husband, but feel happy with her marriage after deciding to become more religious and improving communication with husband.<\/strong><\/li>\n
