Program Cool Japan akhirnya diresmikan dengan tujuan utama untuk mempopulerkan konten Jepang di luar negeri sehingga nantinya dapat membentuk nation brand dan membantu Jepang mengatasi masalah ekonomi pasca-bubble economy. Dalam implementasinya, program Cool Japan memiliki berbagai bentuk promosi yang menarik yang ditujukan untuk memperkuat nation brand di dunia internasional, seperti pameran internasional, menyiarkan konten lokal di luar negeri, dan kerjasama industri kreatif antar negara.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>  5.
