4. Description [Abstrak] : This study is about resilience in parents who have children with Down syndrome, what factors influence resilience in parents with Down syndrome children and how the image of parental resilience in daily life with their down syndrome children. This research uses qualitative research based on phenomenology approach. Respondents were taken based on purposeful sampling that is the selection of subjects in research based on the characteristics that meet the goals that have been determined. Data collection method is the method of interviewing and observation with four research subjects. The results showed that the four subjects had good resilience can be seen from the supporting factors and resilience characteristics so that parents are able to accept the condition of the child. In the first subject JN initially felt that he did not accept his son\u2019s state of being down syndrome and then through a long process JN could accept his son\u2019s condition. The second subject of AV felt confused and scared of his son\u2019s situation but the help of the spirit and support of family and relatives make AV able to survive. The third subject of the DR was initially disillusioned with the state of his down syndrome but the DR felt able to accept and appreciate that which God had predestined. The fourth subject HN willingly accept and always grateful for the condition of his son and family who always give support and encouragement to his son with as good as possible.<\/strong><\/li>\n
