4. Description [Abstrak] :<\/strong> Sumatran orangutans (Pongo Abelii)are endangered species that is endemic Sumatran. Sumatran orangutans are very influential in the forest and other species but it\u2019s growth period is relatively long makes breeding difficult. Sumatran orangutan development more difficult by forest burning as a land of palm oil and logging makes forests more damaged. PanEco Foundation as environmental organization try to keep Pongo Abelii population. This research aimed to describes the role of PanEco Foundation in attempt to conservation of Sumatran orangutan in Gunung Leuser. PanEco Foundation in coorperated with Indonesia government represented by ministry of forest (PHKA) try to conserve genetic of Pongo Abelii. This Pongo abelii conservation efforts carried out in Gunung Leuser of Sumatera by involving various stakeholders from both the Indonesian government. This main program goes through three stages: confiscation, quarantine and release and other supporting activities such as monitoring, campaigns, education and promotion<\/li>\n
