Description [Abstrak] :<\/strong> The result of this research indicate towards the enforcement of single market and production base of ASEAN Economic Community 2015, Indonesia still needs to fix problems of its national food security issues. The area categorized food insecurity is largely a region which was in East Indonesia. Food insecurity is not only caused by the climatic factors, but there are other factors, such as the limitations of human resources, lack of facilities and infrastructure which supporting agriculture, and also limitations of capital to cultivate the land. Furthermore, so many people in East Indonesia that still live in under the poverty line. Poverty has caused the purchasing power becomes low. The lack of means of transportation also hindering food distribution system. As a preparation for ASEAN Economic Community, the efforts to improve the food security, Indonesia is through the development program of food availability and handling food insecurity, development of distribution system and stability of food prices and empower the institute to build a diverse food consumption.<\/li>\n
