Description [Abstrak] :<\/strong> The main purpose of this research is to describe and explore the interests and effort of Russia to prevent the plan of Ukraine government join to the European Union membership. Theory or concept used in this study is the concept of national interest, the concept of Diplomacy Resources and Power concept. The type of research thesis is explanativ it explain of Russia\u2019s interest to prevent Ukraine join the European Union membership. The result of the research have shown that Russia has a few threatened national interests if Ukraine completely join in to the European Union. Its national interests are economic interest, security, ideology, and political interest. To protect those national interests, Russia have a couple of preventing attempts for the ukraine\u2019s European Union membership. Which are the gas instrument, as its tool of diplomacy, and using their military ability.<\/li>\n
