Dibawah bimbingan Dr.H.Achmad Djumlani, M.Si selaku Pembimbing 1 dan Budiman S.IP, M.Si selaku Pembimbing 2, Program S1 Pemerintahan Integratif Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politilk Universitas Mulawarman.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelurahan Barong Tongkok Kecamatan Barong Tongkok Kabupaten Kutai Barat dengan tujuan untuk menjelaskan persepsi masyarakat mengenai konflik antar etnis di kelurahan Barong Tongkok . Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penelitian kepustakaan, observasi, dan wawancara serta studi dokumentasi, kemudian dilakukan analisis mengggunakan analisis kualitatif. hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa persepsi masyarakat mengenai konflik antar etnis di kelurahan Barong Tongkok kecamatan Barong Tongkok kabupaten Kutai Barat adalah murni kesalahpahaman sedangkan masyarakat Bugis murni kriminalitas yakni aksi pengeroyokan. Upaya yang dilakukan pemerintah Kutai Barat adalah mencegah kejadian dan mempertemukan Tokoh-tokoh adat kedua belah pihak serta mendatangkan satuan keamanan TNI\/POLRI dari luar Kutai Barat guna membubarkan paksa Massa yang berkonflik.<\/li>\n<li><strong> 5.
