Description [Abstrak] : This Research aims to analyze the efforts of the local governments in dealing with cross- border trade on the border of Indonesia (Long Midang) and Malaysia (Ba’ Kelalan) during the period of COVID-19 pandemic. This research uses a qualitative method and the data was collected by in-depth interviews and field observations. The results of the research show that local governments have made various efforts to deal with cross-border trade during the COVID- 19 pandemic, such as setting the operating hours of traditional markets, increasing supervision and law enforcement, and providing financial and non-financial assistance to business actors. However, there are still obstacles to be faced in implementing these efforts, such as limited human and funding resources, as well as violation of health protocols by some business actors. This research recommends the local governments to improve inter-agency coordination in dealing with cross-border trade during the COVID-19 pandemic. Likewise, provide assistance and training to business actors regarding the implementation of health protocols. Furthermore, the local governments need to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the efforts in dealing with cross-border trade during the COVID-19 pandemic periodicaly.<\/strong><\/li>\n
